A Style Controller Using Kinect is Patented by Sony

Sony is slowly advancing its Kinect technology that is currently being used with its game consoles. The company has managed to patent a new dimension of the technology called Kinect style controller. This technology will enable the human body to interact with a device partly. Not the entire body will be involved in the control but only a part of the body at a particular time.

The technology has been under development and testing by Play Station Eye since October. Sony is yet to announce how or with what the technology will be used. But this kind of technology can even give rise to a new version of the PlayStation. By patenting it, it is now sure that its competitors cannot use it in the near future.
